U20 Women’s FIFA World Cup Betting Odds: Japan and Spain Favored to Win
Japan and Spain are the clear favorites to win the 2023 FIFA Women's U20 World Cup, according to the latest betting odds.
Japan is the defending champion and has won the tournament twice before, in 2011 and 2015. Spain has never won the U20 Women's World Cup, but finished as runners-up in 2018.
The other teams in the top five in the betting odds are France, Germany, and the United States. France is a former champion, having won the tournament in 2013, while Germany and the United States have both finished as runners-up in the past. France enters the tournament with the most stacked team on paper, but they’ll need a fully team effort to hoist the trophy.
The United States has won the U20 Women's World Cup three times, but their last title came in 2012. The United States will need Catarina Macario to have a strong performance to have a chance at making a run in the tournament.
The 2023 FIFA Women's U20 World Cup will be held in Costa Rica from August 10 to August 28. The tournament will feature 16 teams, divided into four groups of four teams. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage.
