Formal Charges Filed Against Moorpark Man Involved In Tuesday's 9-Hour Long Standoff

What Happened?

On Tuesday, May 10th, 2023, a 9-hour long standoff ensued between law enforcement and a Moorpark man, identified as 42-year-old John Doe. The incident began when deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff's Office responded to a call about a domestic disturbance at a residence in Moorpark, California.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies encountered John Doe, who was armed with a firearm. Doe refused to comply with deputies' commands and barricaded himself inside the residence.
